i was wondering..... i have a 12 channel yamaha mixer (phantom power), and a behringer b1 (planning to buy a shure ksm27) condenser mic which requires phantom power. and i was wondering several things. 1 is, i like the Q10 and what i've read about it. and it also has phantom power. but what i was wondering is, can i hook it up with my mixer? the 2nd thing is, if i get the 1010lt, it doesn't have phantom power, does that matter? 3rd is, which is the better price? the cost doesn't matter that much. my only concerns are which one is better, which can i use with my mixer recording with cubase, and if i can use one of them with my mixer, how do i connect them together to record and playback through the monitors and headphones? i would love some advice. thanks for your help :D

hmm well since you have a mixer already, you do not really need the preamps on the q10. I would save some $$$ and get the delta1010lt and use the extra cake for something else. I think the q10 is quite a bit more than the delta and you are mainly paying for the preamps in the q10.

as far as hooking your mixer up to the q10, you would probably be better off choosing a soundcard that didn't have preamps in it already like E-MU maybe or the delta 1010. I think th delta 1010 (not the LT) is about the same price as the q10 and the delta 1010 is quite a bit better than the 1010LT from what i have heard. I am planning on getting the delta 1010 when i get osme cash together

What I´ve heard is that the A/D converters are the same for both 1010 and LT, the difference stands on the breakout box and the balanced inputs that comes with the first one. The LT got 2 XLR and 8 RCA unbalanced ins. I think that there´s no quality difference in between. Is just a breakout box what makes the price goes up.

yes that rings a bell now. to me the delta 1010 looks like a cleaner set up. I don't like the idea of all those wires on the back of the 1010LT. But if it fits the bill, there is certainly nothing wrong with it. Does anybody know if you need a rack to place the 1010 in or can it just sit on a shelf or something?
