That's how alot of rap is foreal. But, there are alot of positive rappers out there that either have a record deal and aren't selling alot, or don't have a record deal. The music industry won't play a whole lot of positive rap because they know that the violent type of rap is selling big. It makes business sense not to deliberately lose money but at the same time, people like me wanna hear somethin positive instead of the same ol money, cars, sex, drugs, etc.

Preach it, Brotha! I like rap like Pillar which is more quasi-metal/rap stuff. and KJ-52 which I think is more like straight up hip hop.

I was a rapper in jr. high school. I thought I was pretty good too. Then the 90's came and it was all about rock/grunge/metal for me. I've changed again and now listen to many styles from Christian artists. It's the best.

Seriously, rappers shouldn't be offended by this thread. No. 1 - it's more true than not and No. 2 - that can only add to your credibility as an artist. Who wants a rapper who doesn't rap about au'dat gangsta shiznit any way. Well, I do but that's beside the point. The lifestyle is what makes rap so popular with the youth of the world. Alright MC Cracker in da house!

Here are the rules.

The competition will consist of three rounds. In the first and second rounds each contestant will be able to submit 10 lines of rhymes. Since we can't hear crowd noise, I will post a poll in the cave and people can vote for the winner. There will be one round a day, so that all interested parties can have a chance to log on and vote. The third round will allow each contestant to submit 20 lines of rhymes! The contestant to win 2 out of 3 rounds will be considered the winner. Now remember this is a battle, I want you both to come out swinging. No insults will be considered "below the belt" which means anything go's. I will wait until we have confirmation that both contestants are ready, and then we'll start round one.

We're just waiting for Canibus to accept the challenge. Something tells me a guy named Canibus is probably doing other things than hanging out in a forum on 4/20. As soon as we hear from him the rap battle is on and we can see these guys spit some fire!
