well Howdy Walter, good to hear the groove. I like the new sound, it big.

All I Want Before I Die...Good tune. Nice sounds, and great playing.
Thanks

This is really cool! Everything sounds great, I like the sense of space that you have going, I almost feel like I'm actually the one playing all that stuff (assuming that I could, which I doubt very much). Very cool! :)

thanks everyone for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I only record myself, and that can get you in a warp at times. On top of this, I have only been running the recording gear for 2 1/2 years. I spent alot of times in studios as a player, but was so overwhelmed by the whole technical end, that I just played and split asap.

I grew up playing with the old bluesmen. They used 1 mic, when playing live, for the vocals. THe instruments had their own amps, and the drums were unamplified. When they went in the studio, they wanted it to sound like they sounded live. I fell in love with that concept, and my goal is to sound just like I would in a club, or your living room, when I record. Walter

Lightning Hopkins recordings are the benchmark I strive to get to.

I got to hand it to you man, that's pretty authentic sounding. You got something going on there.

thanks for listening! I just set the mics up and record. I don't really know what I am doing, and just listen, till it sounds right. I have a long way to go, and am enjoying the adventure of recording!

I am having my drummer join me next saturday, at my regular gig. It is a crazy club, with all classes of life mixing, and getting down to levels, that take me back to the 70's. I will just be playing harp, guitar, and vocals. THat allows me to do some different stuff. My bassist may make it as well. I am going to record it with the EH preamps, direct to a ADAT recorder. I have a friend who just watches the levels, and keeps them out of the red. I will post them. Walter
