The price :eek: For a pair of empty reels? Heck, I can get NEW (albeit old stock), sealed 3M 996 on much heavier and better 3M precision reels, gold too, for a whole lot less than he is asking for a couple of empty reels. Like four or five reels of tape for his starting bid price for two empty reels.

FWIW, I have a take-up reel almost exactly like those the guy has listed. The main difference is that it is silver. It had a "TDK Professional" label on top of stamped-in script writing that said "TDK Synchrotape." It is a nice reel, metal hub and all that, but not worth anywhere near that price.
