002 rack w/ intel macbook pro set up

just getting started setting up a digi 002 rack (that came w/ LE7) w/ an intel macbook pro osx 10.4.7

two questions i'm trying to answer are ...

1. do i simply download the PT 7.1.1 upgrade from digidesign website ?

2. should i connect an external drive before i do this.

1) connect your external first.
2) then install 7.0 from the disc
3) download the update..

congrats with the new macbook pro!

let us know how it works out for you. i started using an iBook, but that quickly was rendered useless. powermac g5 dual now
