Got to be the funniest thing I have read on this forum besides Socialism works
You deny he inherited a good economy? You’d be denying facts if you do.
I think the economy was moving in a positive direction. It was really in bad shape thanks to mortgage policies implemented in the late 90's.
Not having to put money down on a house was really not a good idea. That caused a lot of bad behavior by a lot of people. But I think many of the policies Trump started, in trade, renegotiating some policies had a positive effect. Many believe Trump was able to get the economy really running and the Dems knew unless the economy tanked, there was no way to defeat Trump. That is why many struggle with how much this Corona pandemic is real. (I am just stating an observation)
But you are still missing the main issue of American politics, many in "anti-Trump" camps fail to understand, many Americans do not want a European style government. Socialism while it sounds good to many is nothing more than communism rebranded. For those of us old enough and who have first hand seen the results of communism think it is s short hop from socialism to communism. Whether you think we are crazy or not, that is the main rift in the ideologies of the two main parties. I would further add the idea of a "globalist" mentality, many Americans don't want it and they are pushing back on it. I am seeing push back this more and more in other parts of the world. Brexit, European countries pushing back on Brussels. The EU is going crazy over Brexit not because Britain is so important, but it could be the beginning of the end of the EU.
While it is easy to just throw these trivial issues out there and say, "this". But for most of the people who back Trump, it is a much bigger battle. It is the battle of the American soul, whether real or perceived. Perception is reality.
Law and order.
The actual substance of the indictments and convictions aside, all you've done is continue to demonstrate chronic TDS with a CNN-level lack of concern about truth and clarity.
Brassplyer said:Of course you're not interested in the fact that the so-called Mueller investigation was predicated on a fraudulently-obtained FISA warrant in the first place. The only one actually engaging in collusion was Hillary with the garbage Steele dossier.
Brassplyer said:Parse and dodge all you want, ultimately there was no substantiation that Trump colluded with Russia over the election. It was absurd and nothing but a political hit. You know it, you'll never admit it because for whatever reasons you harbor you don't like Trump.
Please elaborate. Curious wtf you're talking about. It was a total and complete sham and embarrassment for the alleged pursuers of truth.
When somebody says that I would look at details such as for example gdp for a quick guide.
2008 GDP was 14.7 trillion. 2012 GDP was 16.2 trillion and in 2016. An increase of 1.5 trillion over a President term.
2012 GDP was 16.2 trillion and in 2016 18.7 trillion. An increase of 2.5 trillion over a President term.
2016 GDP was 18.7 and in 2020 it will be 22.3 trillion. An increase of 3.5 trillion over same period. Almost the same increase of the previous man but in half the time.
Now I would say that the later was far more successful. In fact I would say approx 40% more successful. Considering that the country was continually torn apart by Democrat witch hunts, Democrats holding back money being spent and stopping policies, together with the world going apeshit over Covid in approx 20% of the later Presidential term.
Not to mention the whole of the media and the biggest companies in the world fighting his every move to stop the Presidents actions being successful.
It is honest to say that a man who was not a politician in any sense was more successful at his job with everything against him than any other President has been in my lifetime.
I know nothing about the man. I am not a fan of him. I cannot vote in your election and I am not an American. But I could surmise that America probably may have lost the best man for the job they could have ever had going on facts and figures.
You could say that is all down to someone else who I only ever saw playing golf. But I would rather look at what they managed to do.
On the face of it to an outsider you have just got rid of someone who was hugely successful at his job and could have been even more successful if allowed just because some of you didnt like him. You did this in favour of a pipe dream which has failed everywhere else in the world.
I have worked at lots of places where I couldnt stand the bosses but I did my job and they did theirs and we never went hungry. We certainly didnt stop doing something which was a success in favour of something which had failed in other businesses. That is cuckoo mentality.
Like I asked earlier....... Where do you go now?
The take away here is, the black vote is moving away from the Democratic party, because theDems are moving away from normal people.
Yeah, just the golf statement alone is proof you’re biased in some way.
Trump has played 2.6 times more golf than Obama in his first 2 years and 91 days and has cost the tax payer an estimated $74 million more than Obama.
I’m just gonna disengage. No point in arguing with someone who doesn’t do facts.
Absolutely hilarious.................. The facts are just entered into Google. USA gdp 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020.
As regards being biased. I explained. I am an outsider looking in. What others around the world see of the USA and all that stuff. Who wins I couldn't care less. I just replied to 'misinformation'.
If you have a problem with facts then have a word with Google.
Just as a last reply. I did google it.
Here are the numbers https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/09/05/trump-obama-economy/
Oh....in before you say “mUh BiAsEd MeDiA.”
I dont see your point. I told you where I got the figures from off Google. A newspaper will have an agenda and I have no idea where the Washington post goes Dem or Rep.
As for the nose dive of 2020. Every country in the world has been the same because of Covid except for the one who caused it I think.
My point is that Trump inherited a good economy thanks to Obama. The numbers are right there in plain view.
And see, that’s your problem. You think an organization must automatically swing Dem or Rep when they don’t have to go in either direction. I studied media bias for my final thesis. The WaPo is a very reputable source that’s pretty dang close to the center. The only organizations that are closer are the AP and NPR/PBS.
TRUMP 2024 ...because it's gonna be like a freakin' Rocky movie where he fights his way back out of the corner for a final knockout of the political left.
