Blue Shower (Fader Lube, Whatever you call it)

Blue Jinn

Rider of the ARPocalypse
Have a Roland AP-7 Jet Phaser. Me and the guitar player went halfsies on this thing back in 1980something or other. Anyway. wasn't working consistently, took it apart, resoldered a wire that had somehow come off the slow/fast switch, sprayed some Blue Shower (contact cleaner) in teh switches and pots, and now it works. Wow, never underestimate the value of a good cleaning....

contact spray is all I needed to use to fix my fender sidekick. I bought it for 50$ and it may not be as loud as i'd like but still a great practice bass amp, and almost gig worthy.

Contact cleaner is much easier on switches than Blue Shower-Blue Shower is used on circuit boards that have been corroded and its pretty acidic, it will melt away the corrosion . If the switches have any plastic in them it tends to melt them, and don't get it on your skin!

Thanks. I did not know that. I couldn't find anything local otherwise, but will be aware of that going forward.
