    buffer

This is usually a setting found within the hardware software itself not in cubase. There is usually a separate software utility that handles this. They all look different. The problem though is it's hardware specific and I don't own a UR-RT2 so you may have to take a look at the manual for...

Solved Cubase, Audio Track, Inserts & Tuner

Glad I could help. I was honestly only about 85% sure it would work in a capacity that would be acceptable.

Solved Cubase, Audio Track, Inserts & Tuner

Try unchecking direct monitoring in your asio settings. Picture number 4 in that post. I will warn you though, there may be latency if you do this but my thought is that it will allow you to monitor fx in cubase with it turned off. If that's not it, I honestly am not sure. Everything else...

    into Cubase from other DAW

I'm not a logic user but in all honesty if you like garageband but can't stand the limitations just snag Logic. It shouldn't be to much of a learning curve jump from garageband and it's not gimped like garageband.

    Muddy and Fizzy Guitar Recordings

I usually record fairly loud. I want the speaker cab to vibrate a bit and I want the speakers to be moving some air. I think it sounds better, plus I just stick the cab in a different room. I'm more into modern tones where you drive the hell out of the preamp stage vs cooking the power...

    into Cubase from other DAW

Garageband is a pretty lightweight recording program by comparison. You should be able to import audio and midi files into pretty much any DAW sans that one (mostly, not all). This would include: 1. Logic 2. Pro tools 3. Abelton live 4. Studio one 5. All variations of cubase 6. Reaper...

You aren't doing spaces? Just speakers?

    crossfade

To add to the above. Hit x again and it will give you the fade window where you can customise the length of the cross fade as well as change other perameters.

    cubase

LE is free sort of, it's usually included with hardware. Also it works on apple's OS.

    Impulse response library.

Neat, I'll check this out later. Can never have to many impulse responses.

Whats a great DAW software for recording?

I use cubase pro and have for almost 15 years now. That said, I don't recommend it to people starting. If reaper existed when I started I would have gone with that. The price is just to good for a full featured daw. Studio one is also excellent and not so dang expensive.

    watch out for these guys

I don't even really mess with ebay at all. I've had good experiences with reverb so I just stick with that for now. I mostly try to deal through craigslist when I can because face to face is the best.

free fx for guitar non DAW

IK Multimedia - AmpliTube Custom Shop I think it comes with a couple amps and maybe 1 or 2 stompboxes. It's quite a bit smaller than the full version but it runs stand alone and it's free.

Bluetooth headphones which on cable are good enough for producing?

Bluetooth 5.0 seems really promising with the added bandwidth. I would start at least with that for criteria as it is most likely to sound better with the extra bandwidth (at least you would hope, who knows how these companies prioritize things). Sennhieser makes some with 5.0 tech inside...

    Best bass rig ideas

This only matters if you are connecting it digitally via s/pdif, adat, or AES/EBU. If you are running it in an analog fx loop it doesn't matter.

    watch out for these guys

People are the worst. Love that bass though, I want to trade my american 83 standard jazz 4 for an american standard jazz 5 string. I don't think I could get that many takers on it though and I can already feel the tire kickers pissing me off. haha Fender basses are the best though. So good.

    Best bass rig ideas

This is style dependent in my opinion. Metal and modern rock aren't going to be the same recording process as classic rock, pop, punk etc... I've recorded bass rigs (some really nice ones), I've recorded with hardware, I've recorded direct, and I've recorded direct only to add a sim after the...

Do you use a pick when recording acoustic strumming

For what I'm usually recording yeah I prefer a pick.

    Cubase fades on midi

Automation is best practice in my opinion. Just hit W on the track and move the volume. It will then bring up the automation, just pencil it in exactly how you want.
