In cause you cant find the mag., here is a brief review... Steinberg Cubase VST or Emagic Logic Audio (I would go for the platnum version) This covers your recording and sequencing & mixing needs....Then, the following software was reccomended...Native Instruments "Reaktor"...

There is an excellant artical in 'Future Music" December issue on just this subject(pg 94)it includes software and hardware options, etc. very good articale (and mag!!!) I highly suggest you check it out....!!peace!!!!
