Pro tools m powered bounce track problems

Digidesign has forums linked to their site. They may be able to help you over there as well. But knowing the error message is a bit important.

    A Panning Issue

Sometimes when weird stuff like that goes on, I'll uninstall software and then reinstall it. That usually fixes the prob and makes it work the way it used to.

    Listen to this please

THE R101? A clever bunch of lads. Good mix! A bad mix of a good song can even sound great to someone, and I enjoyed the song so my critique will be a little off. I liked the panning, would've put some verb on the vox. I liked the multiple takes to emphasize certain lines of the lyrics. I...

    Favorite "budget" condensor mic

That green bullet thing maybe...? It def has a certain sound to it.

    Getting SHITTY Vocals

Double tracking always seems to help reinforce vocals. "Up All Nite Blues" sounded good, reminded me of a John Lennon kinda bluesy Beatles thing.

    Mastering?

Who have some of board used for projekts? I have a disc that needs to go and am looking for experiences with different services. If this is in the wrong section, could a mod please move it to the rite one? Thanks!

Getting the bleed out of drums...Help!

This would def work, but to be all old school (even tho I'm not), I'd really like at least the bass and drums to play/groove together for the rhythm section on the song. Is this not a smart decision? I just for some reason think it would give the foundation of the song an overall more...

Getting the bleed out of drums...Help!

When you guys usually record a full band for initial tracking, how do you get around the guitar + bass amp sound bleeding into drum mics? (esp the OH since they are condensers) Thanks in advance!

Best sounding album you have ever heard?

I always thought "Gish" was the most overproduced. That is...not counting anything in their discography bryond "Melancholy..." :D On that note, I like pretty much anything Alan Moulder / Flood put their hands on. To prove that point, I even like THE KILLERS new one. Here's a few...

What do you think of these lyrics to "The Gods of Heavy Metal"?

Don't take it the wrong way. I wouldn't make a third verse. I'd prob try to forget about the first two vereses as well. That sounds like some dumb shit MANOWAR would sing.

Write music first or lyrics first?

Sometimes you can hear a really cool phrase or expression and think "I have to use that!" but then I never know where to put it in an actual song. I also think some of the most interesting ideas come from not correctly hearing someone and thinking they said something they didn't, which ends up...

Gregorian Chant / Monk Choir Sounding Stuff?

Could anyone recommend something sound module wise that has a relativively convincing version of monks chanting or similar? Rite now I'm working with Symphonic Orchestra Silver and it has some cool choir sounds with oohs an ahhs but it doesn't sound like church / religious really at all. Thanks!

    double tracking effects not chorus

I liked the guys response who said to use two mic's taped together. That way that the signal is coming in is actually two different vocal takes. Even though it is the same performance, the space between the mic's will make each track seem like it's own vocal. I've never tried it, but it...

Which company's drums do you play? VOTE

This may sound off, but I think it's a lot more interesting if you come across a lad who has assembled his kit from different percussion manufacturers.

    Another "my first mix" thread...sorta.

Yep, the snare is slightly to the left and the kick is slightly to the right. Kinda odd I guess.

    Another "my first mix" thread...sorta.

Hey, I actually liked those guitar sounds! Anyway, thanks for the feedback. The bass was DI and then EQed and compressed. It was all done in the box if that's what you're hearing. But it was tracked with an LA2A on it so...the vocals were all multitracked the singer had to do each part...

    would you......hey? fire!

He does say "no returns" so I don't know...but if the gear is in the condition he says...it's a deal. Someone made a good point mentioning that it works now but for how much longer can it hold up?
