I auditioned T3 against an apex 460 and MXLV69 last week, I liked T3 the best, but I am going again in couple of days to compare it with SE electronics Z5600A, I heard good things about that Mic also, If you can wait, I will let you know.

I had the same problem with firebox and Sonar 5, what was heppening in my case that A/D converters were clipping (although the clip light never came on) so when I cut the gain on pre-amp it worked fine, If you havent tried it give it a shot.

Yeah I agree, I am using for almost a month now and yet to find a single problem with the drivers, although smallest latency I tried was 4ms with no problem which is quite good for me, and I use the card with both Sonar5 and cubase SX3.

well it depends on your usage, if you are recording drums or whole band together then firepods 8 preamps can be handy, but if you need just one or two preamp, EMU will give you a lot better sound quality + any possible routing. I upgraded from firebox to EMU1820m and loving this interface...

yeah I noticed the samething when I had firebox it used to get hot after couple of hours of use. I was using as bus powered.

I will go with firebox, I used it for a month no problem at all and sound is very good.

there is no headphone output on 1212m, so those outputs are for your monitors, only thing I can think is some kinda headphone amp device which also has thru outputs for your monitor so you can connect both headphones and monitors I think samson make those things, for the mic since mic is mono so...

I use pink noise and radio shack digital sound pressure meter to calibrate. it gives me accurate results.
