    What is the "Yamaha USB-Midi Driver"? With a generic/whichever midi to USB cable/interface there will be no feedback is something is connected via midi or not, it should just work in your DAW/Program of choice.

    A program change is getting recorded with the midi track or being set by the midi track properties. I dont use PT so I cant help beyond that. Check the midi events or look at the midi track and see if it assigned there..

    Dont expect much from a single core P4. That chip is so old, running software that's made for modern processors will result in little more than frustration. Find some software that was made 6 years ago when this thing was actually considered fast and stick with that.
