Well, really good sounding is up to what the user expects it to sound like. I personally do not like the amp at all so to me it won't make a difference what it's plugged into. However if you plug it into a nice cabinet with nice speakers it should give you a better result than with the stock 8"...

Actually the Greenback should break up a lot sooner than a V30. The V30's are 60 watt speakers and I believe the Greenbacks are just 25.

I also played around with modding an epi and ended up selling it and buying a stock one and just running pedals in front for flavor. I like the amp but I also feel the mods are useless when using good pedals in front can give a similar result.
