Depends on How good your "screamer" is. With ours, all i really do is compress The vocals, and eq it. and maybe add a touch of reverb. :drunk:

Hey im his brother, all we did was use that cheap MXL mic.... with the line 6 interface, with the compressor from the interface and some eq and maybe a lil reverb. since i mixed everything i should know ;) oh btw heres another link to way better quality...

Might just be my stereo in my room. Ill have to eq the track in the studio and see the difference. But ya those metal bands do some very similar to the mix we did. Thanks for the help i probably wouldn't of noticed how thin the mix was untill u pointed it out!

ya it does give it alot of balls. but seems like a little to much bass for me. lol. But i cant really tell right now since im in my room and not in my studio with my krks.

sure, we used a dual tone, one amp was treadplate dual and the other was line 6 spinal puppet. both with the screamer pedal with gain up more than half. Almost all mids cut in the amps and highs all the way up. also have a noise gate and compressor on both. and bass on the amps up a little more...

ya lol its Amazing! and recorded the Vocals through that too! Best digital compressor ive ever used.

oh we didnt add bass yet, and the guitar was recorded with the line 6 UX2.
