    How does eqing work?

For instance, if I bring my eq down along the entire spectrum then adjust the volume up the same amount would'nt they just cancel each other out and nothing be changed? EQ operates in the frequency domain. So, in theory, a digital EQ is continuously sampling your music and transforming it into...

    Testing 1 2 3 ....

So be it then. I'll record various things with the mics - and then put up some organized links to the wav files with some places for commentary. Do you think it would be better to A. stick 'em all together in a wad and record the same performance B. try to place them in the exact same spot...

Bluesy New MP3 Post... Please listen.

It should be here in 3-10 days :) But really, I think people should buy all the indie artists they like, even if their stuff is free for download. I have a huge problem with record companies and the way they ripoff artists on one hand, but on the other hand wage a war against all the new music...

Bluesy New MP3 Post... Please listen.

They do decompress them first, but since mp3 is a "lossy" compression scheme, the "infomation" that was lost during the initial compression is still lost after decompression. But for most stuff you have to really listen close to notice a difference. I'm off to mp3.com to buy it now!

    POD song experiment

Thanks for posting the POD stuff (and that was the fasted download ever for me - what kinda bandwidth you got there? :)). I've been using an ART SGX2000 for some time now and have been thinking about getting a POD since I've heard so much rave about them. Great sounding lead there. And...

    Testing 1 2 3 ....

My only condensor mic so far, other than some radio shacks, is a CAD E-100, which has been good for the price. All my other mics are dynamics, such as SM-58's. When money becomes available, I'll buy another condensor mic. A friend of mine just let me borrow a case containing: <UL TYPE=SQUARE>...

Bluesy New MP3 Post... Please listen.

Wow Teddie. This is great stuff. Love that ballsy bass sound. Your voice reminds me of Billy Gibbons a little in some places, but it just might be better than his. I really love blues and like to see it served up fresh like this. I'd be interested in any CD's you're selling - preferably not...

    It's So Sad

Very nice tune and good production too! Listening on my stereo at home, I thought the bass was loud enough. What is your recording-mixing setup?
