I too have the motif (rack version). I am not a keyboardist, so I don't know what's out there, but I think the motif rocks! It has killer sounds, a huge library and the quality is very high. I don't think it'd be a weak link in your chain. I can't speak for the fantom though... as I said...

:) Actually, when I record my voice, I can say that part lower than what he's doing. What I can't seem to get is the edginess or whatever it is that gives his voice that character when he speaks that low. Oh well, I'll keep on trying. Thanks.

According to him, he does all his own recording and mixing in his home studio. He told me what gear he used, just not the actual process. Oh well, I'll keep experimenting. Thanks guys.
