Mixers and Recording applications - How to's.

I wouldn't recommend using a powered mixer for any recording applications...... for what you want.....I think you should stay on the yamaha route and buy a power amp(or just use powered speakers instead of passive).........if you wanna save money.....buy the MG16/4 without effects....I honestly...

    i need bass..

If you want to do bass with fruity loops.....you just have to select which bass you want......then edit what notes in what rhythm you want with the keyboard menu.......then you can arrange your parts with the playlist........I know I didn't do a very good job of explaining........but it should...

Need a small, yet functional midi controller

I've been looking at the Keystation 49e Controller which is the same as the 61e but with less keys...the 61 would be nice, but I don't know if I can deal with the size(because this has to be as portable as possible)..........the Oxygen is two small because I'm gonna have to have more keys than...

    Laptop suggestions

I want to run a Digidesign 002 on a laptop, but I don't really have much knowledge on laptops. I would like to keep the price within reason, but I also don't want a piece of crap. CPU usage is my main concern because I'm going to be storing everything on an external hard drive. Any...

    Keyboard tabs ?

powertabs.net has some keyboard stuff, but it's usually arranged for guitar. It has a music staff above the guitar tabs that shows the notes, and you can even hear it with the program's crappy midi sounds. My suggestion though is just to train your ear, and learn how to play it by listening.

    ProTools bundle help!

I use reason a lot for synth sounds, but I have never found live to be in the least bit useful. Also, amplitube and samle tank are very useful programs.

    Keyboard tabs ?

I've always found that using the number system works much better than the staff. I know how to read a staff, but I very rarely use it. Instead of seeing a staff I would rather see: Key of F 6 4 1 7b That's just me though :)

    my keyboard need.

As for the keyboard, you could go with any one with midi capabilities to use as a controller. Where the decision will come in will be whether you want weighted keys or not. If that's not an issue, M-Audio and Studio Logic make some good products for cheap. If you do want the weighted keys so...

mp3 versus wav file format to burn cd's???

wav sounds better and clearer....that is all.

    Tracking bass

You may experiment with micing a cab if you have the means(one application that I wouldn't recommend the SM57 for). Compression is the right way to go though for fixing the problem you're having. Through experimentation, you'll find what sounds best.

An interface for the delta 1010lt

I've never worked with the delta 1010, so I'm not completely sure about what your asking....but I'm thinking that you just want to plug your instruments into a different location....if so, I don't see why you couldn't use a patchbay, or if you wanted to spend a little more money, you could go...

    Tracking bass

The low E string can give some crappy sounds on some basses. I have a friend that has a rogue bass, and everytime he hits that string while recording it's louder than all of the other strings..and it creates a very distorted sound. I have a Schecter Stilleto C4(around the $500 range), and I've...

    Bluesky Monitors

Yeah, the 2.1 system is what I got. I was comparing them to some Alesis M1's and a pair of KRK's(not sure of the series) which would have run me about the same price as the 2.1's. Got them at Guitar Center...and I couldn't be more pleased with the sound.
