I have a Tascam M-30 mixer along with a Tascam 32 and 38 tape decks which makes a nice all analog recording system.
I too cleaned all the faders, and rotary pots. Works great. All the connections to my reel decks are all the standard Tascam unbalanced wiring.

Well here's my little description on the AX-10 unit.
It was a Teac accessory that could be used with any deck that had a separate record and playback head (typically called 3 head decks) It also needed to be capable of recording on one track while monitoring on the other...

I'm a big Tascam fan and have a Tascam 38 and 32 and wondering if you have ever done a Tascam M-30 mixer which I also have?
Right now I'm using the ZED as optical ADAT into the RME and RME FW to computer....short of getting another computer and DAW I guess this is the best way to have it setup.
The only thing I end up losing is the MIDI control features from the ZED.
I'm looking for suggestions on how to setup and use both the RME and ZED together in Cubase on one PC....
Maybe I should sell one and replace it with some other piece of gear to enhance one or the other or make the most of what I have...

I have a friend who got a new Dell desktop computer from Santa.
Right now he's using a laptop with the Omega, ASIO4all driver, WinXP and Cubase Studio 4.
He has asked me to help him put all of this stuff on the new computer which has Win7.
So the question is should I use the latest Win7 drivers...
