Give me some pop/rock examples of syncopation

lol.....it's a very clever way of 'splitting the beat' of sorts. More accurately, and in the context I was meaning as an example.....take AC/DC....some of their rhthyms feature Malcom hitting a chord on the strong downbeats, ie- 1, 2, 3, 4 and Angus coming in striking chords that fall somewhere...

Give me some pop/rock examples of syncopation

Stuff written using syncopation sounds so cool, but I don't hear it much in pop rock, unless it's there and I'm just not paying attention...what are some cool songs using syncopation? All I can think of , is some AC/DC riffs .

headphones or monitors , which to trust?

OK. I just recorded a 30 second .wav and it sounds sorta nice listening with headphones, but listening thru my monitors, certain frequencies are more prevalent than the phones. The phones also have all that nice detail right there at your ears. I seem to remember reading somewhere it's better...

    MOTU Timepiece I

These seems like major bargains for a used 8X8 midi interface. I've seen them as low as $50. The big question- does it have drivers for, and will it work with Windows XP?

the BEST A/D converters (short of apogee)

I've got an M Audio Delta Omni, and the sound is pretty good. But I am thinking of upgrading to a different setup...as it is now, the Omni has two good, if rather generic sounding mic inputs ...I'd like to get a minimum 2 input mic pre with LOTS of personality and then also get the highest...

    P3 1.2 ghz vs. 2.2 Celeron

Here's one 'real world' (home recording) Celeron user who gets very good real world results....I've had 15 tracks with probably 8 to 9 fx running simultaneously , and that was for several years on a Celeron @850....Can't argue with results, and I spent very minimal $$ on it compared to...

    Age old problem, noisey computers!

It's more than a bit impractical the way my stuff is situated to do this right now ( cables would have to be run across the bare, open floor, as there is no 'next room')...but I agree this is the way I wanna go when I get moved to a different recording space eventually. I wonder there is a way...

    Age old problem, noisey computers!

Ok. I have recorded myself for the last several years using a PC and the one constant has always been computer noise! (and CRT interference from my monitor, but that's another topic :) )...anyway, what are my options for silencing this beast? Currently , my PC is in a 4 space , rack mounted...

    quick/dirty rock guitar mic primer?

Well I added a couple of overdubs...just drums and guitar for now. I gotta say, it sounds good! There is so much more 'aliveness' to the sound now compared to my Pod! I should post this clip somewhere so you can hear it....it's very addicting to finally hear all the brilliance of the guitar and...

    quick/dirty rock guitar mic primer?

Thanks for the replies.....about the mic clip, I was really suprised the clip didn't fit , I thought mic stand thread sizes were a standard thing, no biggie though, I will try the tape idea.... about the rawness....I'm right now listening to a guitar recording that I'm striving to achieve. It...

    quick/dirty rock guitar mic primer?

OK...Just bought a SP B-1 mic for recording my guitar. I have for years recorded direct, which as everyone knows ain't quite like a live mic sound, but, what I'm hearing now is a very RAW sound. Yes, it sounds fuller, crisper, livelier ,etc, etc than the direct devices I've tried (Pod, Genesis...
