All of a sudden my driver is invalid!!...how is that, I was just recording yesterday!!

Need a laptop....used would really be sweet to my budget. Just want to edit AUDIO for Adobe Aud 2, or maybe something even more simple like Sound Forge. but my needs are really basic for voiceover work. Finished product will more than likely done on desktop...but I'm very mobile lately...
