I read on another post where owners of the Behringer 1202 could perform a "one click" method and bypass the EQ. IF true, I think this is valuable to anyone with a 1202. Does anyone know?
I'm running a sampson C01 condensor (vox/guitar) and shs om-500s/audiotechnica ML1000l's for drums and bass into a behringer 1202 then into my SB audigy (24bit) soundcard. My recording sound alright but lack a certain level of clarity and the high ends seem too bright and get dull if I EQ them...
I've currently got a behringer 1202 and I use the pre's in that to go to my soundcard but there is still a noticable amount of hiss. I know I can't get rid of all of the hiss but will the dmp-3 show a signifigant reduction in hiss (maybe?) and a worthwhile improvement in clarity or sound quality?
I'm currently recording with Magix studio cos' it cost $30. I could probably find somewhere some better software (online or I could even buy it), would this software change make any difference in the sound at all, apart from possibly being more flexible?
Would I be better off buying the STB-1 (instead of using my behringer pre's) or something like it, or could someone recommend a good kit for beggining to learn to build music devices.
What are some different types of cheap setups I can use to mic my drums? I'm running low level stuff as is (B1 for guitar and vox into behringer mixer and Delta soundcard). I have some cheap dynamics (Audiotechnica MB1000l and SHS OM-500), how can I get this done for cheap? Can anyone...
What should I buy next, -or- where is the weakest link in my chain (which already sounds very clear and good). I have a SB Audigy card which I run via the headphone jack to two behringer truth monitors. I also run the audigy to my behringer 8ch mixer. Into the mixer I have a Sampson C01...
I just bought a $90 Sampson C01 Condesnor and shit, did it help the shit outta my recordings. I figure my new monitors probably helped too but shit, it sounds so much better. This being said, would it be worth it for me to return this $90 mic (I can in fact, I know it's rare) and buy one for...
Are Samick C01 Condensor mics worth a try for an entry condensor. I've recording up till this point with a live stage mic that I think hissed and had too much high end and not a full round sound, especially for voice. Are the entry ocktavias any better, I ask bc the shop with the samicks is...
Boy have I got a godamn easy couple of questions. Firstly, what is this (DIY...DYI I can't remeber) 2 channel, $200 preamp that everyone says will give me clean gain up to line level and is this true what everyone says. I have a behringer mixer I run into my soundblaster audigy (24bit, but you...
I'm using a relative mic to an sm57(shs om-500) into my behringer mixer into my audigy soundcard (what a setup eh?) and I actually have succeeded (even before I got some behringer thruth monitors) in mixing several of my own records quite well (my dad was the main engineer on "The Wall", guess...
Is this a proper correlation, will a better reverb than my sonar reverb give be a more live presence and more space in my recordings. Where does quality begin in terms of reverb units and why could I not (supposing I could not) buy an EH Holy Grail Reverb and my mic or mixer thru it. How cheap...
I've read around a lot and my main question is how can I get more headroom in my recordings. Do I need a better mic or a better mic pre? Can I get a decent mic preamp for under $200. Should I build a tube pre and if so where can I get the schematics? How does a mic preamp change my sound, I...
What's the score? I'm running a Behringer UB1202 mixer into my soundcard. Would it improve my sound to get a cheap (art or whatever) preamp or does it not really matter at this level. I also have a mild hiss, could this be resolved by a dedicated preamp instead of the ones in the behringer?
Any ideas about how much I could get a decent mic preamp for. Looking at $0-$200 if I could. I've got a behnringer mixer but there is some noise on the high end so....any ideas?
I found this in the attic, it was hand built by an engineer we used to know. It's got an expander(-4db to +4db) and a noise reducer, it's a model AD-1706, can I run a mic preamp through it and will it benefit me at all? It also has a high filter, if anyone knows anything?
