In 6/8 I figured it was like 85 Bpm but climbing maybe 95 bpm. Fill every 4 bars is guess. Kind of crunchy sounding think Lucy rose til the end . Need about 1:20 worth

Hi will these these work with cubase ai. Also are they straightforward to download . Is there a growl at harder velocity without using the GUI. Many thanks

    midrange

These days I've learned to eq the source keyboard sound before I record it . Then more eq after the fact . Don't know whether this is right but I've found that a piano can take a considerable amount of cutting particularly in the mid frequencies and still have its own voice in a mix without it...

Recording vocals and guitar at the same time

Never noticed latency in standalone recorders . Latency in computers is another story . No noticeably latency in keyboard sounds either that's why I blend to get the immediacy of attack in a keyboard based piano and the velocity character variations in vst based pianos on computer . That's been...

    DP008EX mastering question

Yes it can be done . Tested it . Basically keep the Eq screen open during mixdown so you can alter quickly while it's in recording mode

    DP008EX mastering question

Yes thanks kind of like the undo in the individual tracks. Songs not finished on vox anyway so it's really just to see if I can alter eq as an experiment. Any test mixdown would need to get overwritten altogether anyway

    DP008EX mastering question

Is it possible to do a test mixdown. Will it overwrite on a final mixdown

    DP008EX mastering question

It's not that. it's more that bounces aren't as original as the machine claims . They are always less volume than the original and seem grainier to me

    DP008EX mastering question

If I can't do it I'll just have to bounce 3 and 6 vocal section though realistically I've never had the results which suggest no degradation. Not least that the overall levels nevel match up the the original levels

    DP008EX mastering question

    DP008Ex replacement technical question

Yes I've often been curious about the dp-03sd . I could never get a definite understanding of the difference . Clearly it has faders versus knobs but I wondered if there was a build quality enchancement or perhaps the preamps were cleaner . Any one really done a side by side comparison?

    DP008Ex replacement technical question

Yes I agree it's great bang for the buck and it has crossed my mind several times. It's very tempting . But there's also something very focused about a very navigable smaller machine which forces me to rethink sound and composition as I go and be able to virtually forget the machine I'm working on .

    DP008Ex replacement technical question

Many thanks having difficulty signing up there for some reason? . But yes I figure It should see the existing card. I'm also half surprised to see it's still in production I think it's been around 2015 wouldn't want to miss out on it going end of life

    DP008Ex replacement technical question

Ok my one is 8 years old and the record functions are getting a bit hit and miss. If I buy a new one will the SD card go straight in with all the recorded stuff intact and recognised right out of the box

    Experiment with mono

Ok I don't know whether it's strictly mono as it's a stereo sum I guess. but really it's one track either way . So flautando spitfire string which is an inherently less aggressive sound layered with a woodwind ensemble . Practiced well and played freehand so to speak ie no click metronome ...
