Here's my latest deal, working more with rhythm than in the past and with some sounds that are new to me. Would love to get your nitpicks on what I've got going on here.

Postal Service is an indie synth pop band that has kind of a quirky retro sound to them. (The Postal Service - Such Great Heights - YouTube) Not at exact match for what I was doing, but I think I had some elements of that in my head when I made the track.
Thanks for the feedback on the stereo...
Thanks for the listen. Yeah, I kind of built this around some retro analog synths and listen to a lot of retro-inspired stuff. So it was deliberate.
Did you find there was a good mix/balance on a technical level? Any suggestions what you might do differently in the mix with the same recording...
Maybe while going line-in experiment with dialing in your sound a little using some standard effects, either using the plugins in the DAW or hardware. (Amps or amp sims, reverbs, etc.)
Just did this first draft of a light little synth-pop instrumental thing a few nights ago. Kind of reminds me of maybe a Postal Service sort of track. I would love to hear what anyone thinks so far and if you have any suggestions.

Here's about 30 minutes worth of soundtracky electronic tracks I spent some time on. I was hoping these six could serve as the basis of a new EP. I kind of hit the wall working on them a while ago, though, so I'm trying to figure out objectively what tweaks are needed to get them in "acceptable"...
Thanks, guys, that's exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for!
I guess I'm a little shy when it comes to the rhythm section since I usually do more ambient composition. I'll re-work this one from the ground up.
Hey guys, "Lineland" here, mid thirties from Arizona, self-taught keyboardist and electronic composer. You can check out some of my more recent ambient/psychedelic work here (and I wouldn't mind a few thoughts about it):

I spent $100 on Cubase (bundled with an interface) and while the learning curve seemed outrageous to me at first, it turned out to be a lot of bang for my buck in the long haul.
Been puttering with this track here, kind of an upbeat melodic space jam. I'm still fine-tuning the structure of the track, but I'd love to hear some thoughts on the mix.
