    My first track - jazzy/rockish/fusion

thanks, I have about a hundred jam tracks on my youtube channel. Thats one way I like to practice recording and mixing is by making backing tracks. Getting back to your mix, I'm hearing the extra low end that the other users have mentioned. It could be coming from the piano, maybe use a hi pass...

    My first track - jazzy/rockish/fusion

Thanks Fllavix, I'm not sure I'd consider myself an experienced producer but I'll take any compliment I can get haha.

    My first track - jazzy/rockish/fusion

Really good for a first track. The composition was enjoyable and the mix was quite good. I could nitpick it but i see no reason too. I'd be happy with this if it was my own mix. Great job, keep it up.

You wreck Me, Tom Petty Cover

I was mixing in an unfamiliar studio, so thats probably why I had a hard time determining how much low end to have. I'll take that into account when trying to mix our other songs. thanks for the positive feedback, I'm glad you guys like it.

You wreck Me, Tom Petty Cover

Hey guys, I recorded my band at a studio using pro tools and some high end gear. This was my first time recording on pro tools and micing up a drum kit. I usually use cubase with Ez drummer to put songs together. Anyways, it was quite different than what I'm used to, but i tried using the...

Metal Track, How does this compare to other modern sounding metal?

I made a few simple changes, guitars are a bit brighter now. What do you guys think, better worse, or the same as before. https://soundcloud.com/ben-2014/warrior-demo-2

Metal Track, How does this compare to other modern sounding metal?

Thanks triple M. I put reverb on the master fader, something I never do but I wanted to try, its a very small amount of reverb but I may dial it back even a bit more. I'll nudge the bass up just a bit and see how that sounds. Thanks for the suggestions.

The Iron Fist (first song for upcoming album)

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm glad you like the synth with the guitar I thought that was really cool as well. I double tracked the guitar panned hard left and right then played the same pattern on the synth and panned that down the center. Got a pretty massive tone using that technique.

    Minimalism

This is super cool, getting a half life soundtrack vibe off of it. I also like to experiment with minimalism.

Sound overload, what do i need to upgrade

Hey guys, Looking for some advice here. I recently had problems when recording because I had a small amount of latency, my buffer size was set to 10. I lowered that to 1 and I am now able to record in time much better. I record guitars through guitar rig 5 so I need to be able to monitor the...

How does my track stack up to these tracks

Yeah the artists name titles and the metal tracks seem to do really well. Working on another metal one right now. And Jessica yes, backing tracks are used quite commonly among guitar players to practice improvisation.
