Hi posted some mixes before and got some good feedback hoping for more

Tried to address all previous made criticism, as best I could. Think I am nearing the point where I can finish it and hand it over, but could use some ears on it in case I'm missing anything. I don't know If I should address the guitar tone or the compression? If anyone could give some...

    Anyone out there

Is this any closer to holding up to an actual production, despite the limitations of no studio and stem issues? https://soundcloud.com/askew-a/template-without-this-1 If you view this could you comment?

Hi just an update on some mixing I'm doing posted and initial version a month ago

I've been mixing between monitors and a couple of headphones, I had an EQ on with a low of low end cut. So i've adjusted the EQ and boosted some of the lower frequencies. Is this any better? I think I need to boost my kick drum, seems to be getting lost a bit...

    don't come here no more

Hey I think it sound good, I wouldn't worry too much about the mix. Maybe I would drop the vocals in the mix a bit more maybe try a very slight sample delay on one side of the vox to sit it in the mix. Maybe boost the kick drum around 60 or 125 to bring it out a little bit. I had the same issue...

Hi just an update on some mixing I'm doing posted and initial version a month ago

https://soundcloud.com/askew-a/finished I used some transient designers to work with the drums and also used some dynamic control processing. The drums are never going to be amazing on this mix but I think they are kinda acceptable. I also went for I guitar, bass and vocal mike to try and make...

First recording session! please could i get some feedback?

That would be pretty helpful to me to hear how someone would go about it, if you want to you want to private message me a google email address and I'll send them over on Google drive? Yeah not really mixed just was happy when I got it sounding a little better, yeah the problems are in the tracking

First recording session! please could i get some feedback?

I realised I forgot to do some pre production work on the drums, so I fixed that they are a bit better. Anyone fancy a listen and critiquing this version of this tune https://soundcloud.com/askew-a/stereowithoutthis and let me know how the drums compare to before? I meant to post this in...

First recording session! please could i get some feedback?

I've been playing with the drums looking at more of the stereo image rather than EQ and compression here's a file of what I've been working on. https://soundcloud.com/askew-a/stereodrums https://soundcloud.com/askew-a/stereowithoutthis Still problems drums are betterish...

First recording session! please could i get some feedback?

Hey thanks a lot I'll give that a read, yeah I'm sure I will record them again. I'm mean the bad are really happy with the sound. I don't think they really pick up on the issues as an engineer would, but obviously I want to try and give them a decent product. Especially if they are putting it...

Comparing my track to the bands previously recorded material, any ideas?

Yeah that's how I'm approaching it to learn from every recording session, try and make better decisions in the future. I realised I forgot to do some pre production work on the drums, so I fixed that they are a bit better. Anyone fancy a listen and critiquing this version of this tune...

First recording session! please could i get some feedback?

It's getting easier to listen to the more I mix it, but I recognize I made proximity mistakes in the recording and there are issues and constraints, I'll look into adding treble to the snare and see what I can do. No i'm not not a musician it was a local band, I know a bit of music theory and...

Comparing my track to the bands previously recorded material, any ideas?

Yeah I know that's what Iv been wondering, I think I added a little on the snare and the overheads but the rest of it was from the room it was a medium hall and bare and reflective. I just found a picture I could rip from a short video clearly the mikes weren't close enough, and the positioning...

Comparing my track to the bands previously recorded material, any ideas?

I had an Audix D6 on the kick drum but it was at the back of the kick because the drummer had a new skin with no hole so the kick was weak. (Always going to be half way in the kick from now on). I had a clip on senhieser clipped onto the the snare. (cheap but effective). I had 2 small diagram...

Comparing my track to the bands previously recorded material, any ideas?

Here is an MP3 of the drums unmixed from another song, so you can get an idea of where I'm starting from with the drums. It seems like the symbols got on all the mikes so its pretty tricky mixing it. Thought I had faced the mikes away from the cymbals not really sure where I went wrong...

Comparing my track to the bands previously recorded material, any ideas?

I'll usually use a mix of both, usually start mixing on monitors and then have a listen on headphones and keep switching back and forth. I just have the volume at what I would listen to music at not particularly quiet or loud.

First recording session! please could i get some feedback?

To Jigfresh https://soundcloud.com/askew-a/no-respect Remixed it and changed the levels, yeah I've heard the song so many times I don't know how the song sounds and I can't figure out how to improve the sound. Some things I liked about the mix other people hated, I guess I need a break from...

Comparing my track to the bands previously recorded material, any ideas?

Thanks for being honest that's what i need. I have room mikes on the drum's i cut that i can throw in and try, the guitars were DI'ed and recorded through an amp so i'll try changing the levels and i'll play with the vocals. : ) Any better? https://soundcloud.com/askew-a/no-respect
