    Reaper vs. N-track

G'day Ryan, I've been putzin' with Reaper for almost a year and soundwise it does blow n-Track outta the water. More vibrant and much less noise. But, I've been using n-Track 3.1.9 for a long time. There are features that I use for every song that I just can't figure out how to do in Reaper...

    Mesa Boogie?

Say hey Elliot, If'n you're talking about volume? I don't think Mesa makes anything that isn't loud enough for "small gigging". Wattage does not necessarily equate to loudness. FWIW, BillA

    5881/6l6 ???

Say hey Edgar, Thanks for the response :) Does the stubby bottle make them hotter or colder? Is the bias different? Are the pins the same and are they interchangeable? Is there a "holy grail" of 5881/6L6s? I have no experience with them, BillA

    5881/6l6 ???

How do folks, Anybody know the difference between a 6L6 and a 5881/6L6 ? While troubleshooting my sons 10 watt Epiphone amp, I discovered that it's powered by a single 5881/6L6. I've searched and googled but can't seem to find any info. Ignorantly yours, BillA

Can I pimp CDs here? (Yo, Criper and Dragon)

How do All, I've had the pleasure of working on a Civil War CD with some good folks at a music collaboration site. Can I pimp the CD in this forum, or would we be considered dirty spamming dealers? We're just trying to recover the cost of production. And $4 from the purchase of each Cd will be...

Morning six, FWIW 2 things that you may want to play with... ...A volume pedal. Strike the string with low or off volume and then increase the volume. ...pinch harmonics. Hold the pick with thumb and middle finger. Strike the string and simultaneously dampen the string with your forefinger...

    Posting lyrics only

Mornin Joe, Yup. I know exactly what you mean. What goes around comes around. And yup. Lot's of songs that won't ever be heard. What I apparently didn't do a very good job of saying is...I used to think that lyrics don't need to say something, they just need to sound like they say something...

    Let go

Mornin folks, Thanks bsanfordnyc. I needed a good eye opener. I didn't see it as preaching. I saw it as whining. Like the hyena side-kick of Lippy the Lion. Hardy Har Har. "Ooohhh, Lippy" :D It's the chorus, ain't it. Hmmm, maybe I can pose it as a question? i.e. Oooohhh, why can't we just let...
