Looking at getting a DP-02cf and curious if the preamps are good enough not to need to front-end it with something like a M-Audio dmp-3?

There was a lot of talk about this one a few weeks ago. Surely some of you guys just bought one? How close do they get to the classic ribbon sound? Self-noise?

I'm really tight for space and wonder if there would be much difference in my current situation of having monitors on a small table right against a wall or getting them off the table onto wall brackets to free up some room???
