    avance sound card and ASIO

    What is an ASIO driver.I have installed cubase vst3.5 and have a lousy soundcard called avance logic 120.I can't record or playback audio with this soundcard.I will buy a better card when I can afford.Could someone kindly help me in the meanwhile. Regards
