Hi im using audacity at the moment to record with my mxl condensor and I have my settings as device recording: presonus firebox mic/inst 1/2, and my channel is 1 (mono) ive tried the 2 channel stereo but then i hear absolutely nothing IDK what im doing wrong help please

i purchased a firebox and it advertises phantom power 48 volts worth etc. It works with all instruments, except for when i plug in my mxl 990 which requires phantom power. I read somewhere that you cant use a quarter inch adapter so how the hell am I supposed to use the phantom power. do i...
