Next go around, based on feedback, I will address the vocals. Feedback is very much appreciated.

Here is a song I wrote about 15 years ago. I rerecorded almost of the parts except vocals. (I like the original). I think it is done, but want to double check. For the production, I am trying to make it close, but give space. Any issues, please let me know.

I liked everything on the mix, but felt it was a little bright. 4-5K? I will admit, I seem very sensitive to that range, so take the feedback with extreme caution ;) First part, second part sounded very nice.

Not to be a smart ass, but another POV is, personality of the guitar? I mean to me, my acoustics, more than the electrics all have their own personality. Even my cheapest acoustic has a personality that I can't get from the others. In certain situations I wouldn't use it, but for others, I can't...

I don't think it is the end all be all, but not a bad little tool. I still think production and mix are the most important. The mastering process should serve the production/performance/mix. It is a good baseline for translating IMO.

I have heard good things about Ozone, I don't have it and for what they are charging for the FM Plugin, I think it might just be what I need. I was just sharing what I found, nothing more.

There is a menu during install on what plugins you want to install. I removed all but the Faster Master VST3 and didn't get any bloat. I do think it is cookie cutter, but the one thing I have found it seems to complement the mix. If you want artistic mastering, which the artistic part should...

The only thing I could nit pick at was the vocals seemed to not have any room around it. They seemed loud enough, but not as clear as I think is possible. Something you might want to review. Other than than, everything seemed well balanced.

Not 100% sure, but it seems like the voice has some sort of saturation or distortion. Not clipping, just not a clear as the vocals see they should be. Just a thought. Other than that, on my "normal" listening system (read shitty speakers) sounded very balanced. Nothing sticking out.

Yea, I am much the same. When it is in work, I put the working title, BPM, key, then Letter.number. I keep my file explorer with details view to show created/last modified date.

I saw this and was going to post. Being from the aerospace industry, naming is rather a big deal. I use revision and versioning. A.1, A.2, I still have the same problem, but at least I stay consistent with my naming :-) Letter being major and the number being minor.

I am listening on not great speakers. To my ears there is some harshness in first part, maybe the limiter push is exaggerating it? I like the mix for the most part, but the bass isn't working for me. I like it up front like you have it, not sure. I would end up chasing the crap out of finding...
