    if you are recording audio, then you might try going to the track view,scrolling over to the volume and pan columns, change all of them to (-1). this will give you control over the levels and they will stay where you put them. this instruction is somewhere in the manual. good luck.

    thanks for your reply john, thats pretty much what the manual says... but when the compact audio command turns it into a single file, does the clean audio disk command automatically recognize the "old versions" as unused and ready for deleting?... what if other projects are useing some of these...

    hello genie, i don't have sonar but if what you're describing was happening to me in cakewalk 9, and if i were recording audio not midi, then i would go to the track view and scroll over to the vol & pan settings and change them all to: -1 then i would save otherwise they would revert back...

    hello to all, when useing the compact audio command in cakewalk to put all project data in a single file, does it make a copy thereby doubling the size of my project in the wave data folder?
