    bells and wizzards

I'm sure you already know this, but it sounds gorgeous. Nothing to say at all about the composition, other than that it should be in a Harry Potter movie. As for the technical side, 100% quality all around.

anxiety - the death of a musician?

You won't make a fool of yourself. Because once you're up there, no matter how fast your heart is beating, no matter how scared you are, you're gonna forget about the people watching you from the outside, and it'll just be you alone on stage. And singing or playing an instrument is like riding...

Soca song (Di End of Time)

Hi guys, My name is Shabeel and I sing dancehall, reggae, soca and some other stuff :P I have this song for you to listen to and I need some really tuff advice on how to make the next one sound better. how to promote music - networking

I think the number one thing is to have many friends. Might seem a bit obvious, but the best place to start is the people that know you and love you and believe in you. They're not only going to buy your stuff, they're gonna spread it out for you. As far as I've seen, unsolicited attention...

    Home Recording's Dirty Little Secret

PREACH!! The musical value of a song is much more significant than the technical side. For sure, it's always nice to have something that you can blast on your car stereo, but if the only thing it has is crisp sound, it gets old after a while. On the other hand, great talent shines through even...

Reverb for vocals and mixing vocals

In my experience, vocals are hard to nail. Many things can make vocals sound bad. A poor recording, a producer who doesn't know your voice, your voice clashing with certain instruments, your own ego, etc etc. Listen to songs that you really like the vocals on, and try to find out how the...

    What is Mastering?

This might be a silly question, but what makes a song sound "professional"? I mean, if the recording is OK, the mixing is OK, can really top notch mastering turn something which sounds kind of home-made into something that you can play on the radio?

    Work in progress

I didn't find the vocals disconnected as much as muffled. It doesn't take away the musical value of the song, but perhaps there was a way to bring em out more?

New Song When I'm Feeling This Way

I like how crisp and "present" the vocals are. The loud kick is not a problem if that's the intended effect, overall sounds very professional.
