No replies? I'll give my $0.02 worth... It is a decent graphical interface to the VS880. It's a so-so sequencer. I think it's strength is the effects editing. The little, ridiculous, screen on the vs880 makes it cumersome to do anything without having to scroll through the pararmeters. VSPro...

Get a decent preamp. The pres on the VS880 suck. I couldn't get an acceptable signal without a ton of hiss. A hot signal from a pre allows you to turn down the inputs on the VS. The sound quality improved a bunch. Don't fool yourself, a VS880 is good for a lot of things, but not as a D/I...

SONAR Power! by Scott R. Garrigus and the owners manual will get you to where you need to go. They're real sensitive around here about cracked software. You can't blame 'em, most of us laid down some good cash for the software and spent the time (and tears) learning how to use it.

Did Roland ever reply? They probably didn't, but I'm just curious. I have a VS-880VX. I use the numerics whenever I can. Other than the ridiculous manual and below average customer support, I love my VS880 and other Roland products.
