    840, 880, EX, VS, Vexpanded?????

I'm interested in purchasing a used 840 or 880, however the different sets of letters that come after each model name are a bit confusing. Is there a simple explanation of the difference between these models, i.e. 840, 840EX, 840GS, etc.? The Roland website no longer lists the 840 or 880 so I...

    Zoom MRS1044 opinions?

Anyone have any input as to the quality of these units? I'm looking for my first DAW and this has a built in drums and bass. I just do this for fun, so I don't need a pro setup. I would like to be able to put a finished product to CD. There is either an optional SCSI or USB for the Zoom. Is...

    Drum software????

I tried Fruity Loops awhile back and was frustrated with it. I didn't like any of the sounds or loops. I've downloaded Algorythm but haven't played with it too much yet. I'm still giving it a try. Anybody have much experience with outboard drum machines like Zoom or Alesis and been happy?

    Drum software????

Thanks guys. I'll look into both of those. I am more interested in rock n roll recordings, not dance music. Any other suggestions?

    Drum software????

I am new to computer recording and I'm just starting to have fun with Guitar Tracks 2.0. My question is, what drum software programs are out there? I have read quite a few posts in here and don't seem to see drum software mentioned too often, or I simply am unfamiliar with the different drum...
