I am currently using Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Editon Version 2002 Service Pack 3. It's a Dell Dimension DV051 with Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80Ghz, 2.99 GB of RAM. I use Protools 8. I only use this computer for recording only. I runs great with the 003+ and all 8 tracks at once with no latency.

Ok this might not be a practical way of obtaining protools 9. But i have afriend who wants to upgrade to Pt 9. Also, he doesn't own any protools program. Any way, we were thinking that he can purchase Pt 8 with an ilock and we can install Pt 8 using my Digidesign 003+. Then he can install Pt 9...
