i was testing my tm-78, thinking it sounded so bad that i was gonna give it to a friend... and i am getting a at4040 in the next few days. to my surprise.. they had identical sound and the tascam..maybe sounded a bit better.... woow. no i am not using a pre amp but i decided to buy the dmp3...
