I was looking at the AT2035. seems pretty solid for the price range. going to scope out guitar center used and if nothing shows buy one. My fasttrack works for now but yes i want one with more inputs and phantom down the road.
So im working on a briefcase sized mobile rig and need a good sounding condenser to round it off
using the first gen m audio fasttrack and a mic tube pre (the cheapie)
Im budgeting about 150 for a mic. was thinking studio projects b1 or maybe even an at2035
my main uses is recording acoustic...
Im working on a very mobile studio to record my acoustic project while im traveling and such.
I have this old 80s style plastic samson briefcase that im going to mount it all in, probablty velcroe it in actually.
I have a first gen m audio fasttrack (the silver one with only 1 mic inout and no...
Hoping this is the right spot to post this.
I am recording via digital meand, mixing via software then wanting to route back to my cassette deck for recording.
What is the best way to do this. My Cassette deck has rca ins, as well as left and right 1/4" (they call it mic) ins.
Thanks
as stated about knowing the budget would be nice. Also how many tracks do you want to record at once. id say if your trying to get nice recordings the sm58 isnt the best option, its a great live mic imo but id go for a large diaphragm condenser for vocals, and an gls es57 (the well talked about...
Basicaly selling my firepod to a good friend to buy a saffire 24 (with cash to spare because i wanted those focusrite pres)
this is a question i should know the answer to but need to be sure.
Basically the saffire 24 has 2 preamps (inputs 1 and 2) on the front. Inputs 3 and 4 (located on the...
yeah you can buy them everywhere online for bogo at 60 for two. i owned a pair that came in cads basic drum package, they sounded fine on acoustics but i didnt get a sound i really liked or that stuck out to me, id call them just as good as my ldc (mxl v88)
i think the cascade provide a good...
from what youve told all mp3s are on one track with ten seconds of no sound between them. to make individual tracks do as you described and seperate each song as its own mp3 and then go form there
are your songs mp3s? wavs?
when recorded did you export each track as a stereo wave or mp3?
or are all songs clumped together on one track?
stuff we need to know to help
sadly i realized after the fact i did not phase the two mics. so it could be better i know.
sample three was: es57 towards edge of soundhold below guitar about 8 inches away, V88 between sound hole and neck below guitar about 8 inches away
I have a Firepod for trade, 9.5/10 condition (just the usual rack rash)
I do not record a lot of stuff requiring 8 inputs/want better pres
anyone got a 2 channel (or more) firewire interface of similiar value they want to trade?
i would really dig a motu or focusrite something.
saffire pro...
I recorded acoustic guitar 5 ways. only two mics used were a mxl v88 and gls es57.
they are completely unprocessed, recorded into a firepod, then into logic then exported as mp3. (though one of the tracks is panned slightly left and right).
not all tracks use both mics, some only use one...
it looks like the m39s are a go once i get paid again. they are a local company for me (despite being chinese made i assume). unless i read some not so good reviews of them, then its the kel mentioned above.
ive read the predecessor (m37's) were fairly solid at drum overheads and clear on...
I am recording acoustics a lot more these days
Was looking at the Cascade m39 pair as its 150 for two (presumable with clips).
Anyone used these particular miccs. tried to search the forum but came up dry.
right now its between a pair of those or the Kel hm-3c.
suggestions?
