Got Studio Projects T3, sm57, and Joe Meek VC3 pre
The guitar in question is just a tanglewood with a shitty action but very nice sound, finger-picking folky style
Any advice on position / range etc?
Thanks

Mainly for Vox but also guitar, what does everyone reckon is the most useful box of tricks out of these two?
For guitar, the Joe Meek is very good, decent sounds, but I've never run a mike through it (it's got phantom power from what I remember). As for the Roland, not heard of this model...

has anyone actually tried this out - some geezer is trying to blag me that it's as good as a Neumann

Hi
Just got myself one of these old units at a knock-down price, and in process of putting together a small, indie studio with the 880 as the heart. From previous experience I know that with a little know-how and application some very good, professional sounding results can be had from one of...

Looking for a warm, rich, professional sounding large diaphragm condenser for digital demo work, vox and acoustic guitar, also voice-overs for radio broadcast, seeing lots of cheap Nady and Studio Projects models but a bit suspicious, looking for something that sounds far more high-end...
Guys

Doesn't look like anyone is going to answer my first post. Have read through loads of posts on this site (v. good by the way) and am totally overloaded with info! I would be really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction...
To recap, just got a decent old roland 880 v-xpanded...
Hi guys
Just got an old Roland VS-880 in excellent order and am now on the look-out for a mike to do it justice. Don't have enough money for a valve but was wondering what other users recommend in terms of set-up and hardware for the small studio / digital multitrack, looking for something...
