Face Down - not your Average White Band ... and video!

Just me, but I don't feel this style matches the aggressiveness of the mix. Song's cool, but the mix well...completely unlistenable for me.

    I love you

Hey Irwin. I'm not sure how you would classify this. It almost have touches of avant garde, but I'm not sure if that's what you were aiming for or not. Got some nasty distortion on your vocals in spots and almost no low end. Makes the mix sound sterile.

    Syzygy II, an instrumental

I'm done with it as far as not doing anything else or different with it, but not as far as mixing it better.

    Syzygy II, an instrumental

Yes, I already acknowledged that, that's why I said I need to find out why since "people are hearing it."

    Syzygy II, an instrumental

Thanks TM. I don't overcompress, I barely compress, and same with limiting, so if people are hearing this, I GOT to find out what I'm doing to cause it. Appreciate that.

    No Time to Say Goodbye

Great chords in this one, totally dug it in every way. Reminded me of sort of a modernized Beatles ala their '64 sound. Very nice mix too.

    Syzygy II, an instrumental

Appreciate that CW, but I don't hit a limiter much at all if at all, so I'm not quite sure where the over-limited stigma comes from. But you heard something, so gonna take a look at the tracks themselves to see if it stems from there. This was more of an experiment to try something different...

    Syzygy II, an instrumental

I still say 'thank you' NTB. In the 2 months or so I've been here, I've grown to like this place, but I was as good as gone. I know it's not the song quality, so I was left a bit confused. My mixes are decent, but far from "perfect" and I'd like to know what other ears and different monitoring...

    Syzygy II, an instrumental

Ok. Any crit has value, I just couldn't seem to get any. Dropped to the bottom the very first day, though with 100 views and I do comment around every week. Didn't expect a lot, but I did expect at least one. Thanks, I'd pretty much lost 'faith' and bowed out. That was the coolest gesture I've...

    Syzygy II, an instrumental

OP: got together with a flautist (just because it was something I'd never done) to put this semi-structured piece together. All percs and sounds Sampletank3. guitar is me playing a phrase, then I looped it. Then I pitched it up a 5th and looped it again. Vic Diesel: All flutes...

    Room Full of Strangers

Just to be clear, I meant very bright and not a knock against your voice itself.

    Piano and Vocals, Jazz/Pop

I like how the voice sounds, but the piano sounds a little dark, tho that may be intentional. I don't mean it should be bright, just less dark.

Are these drums too far back?

Getting the same feels: guitars a little loud and bass weak. Get those balanced and you've got a pretty driving tune.

    Room Full of Strangers

Kick be stronger, and I'm on the complete opposite side of the fence for the vocals: they sound a bit strident to me.

    My new song

It kept sounding like the song was fading in and out, not sure what was happening there.

    Feedback for a newbie!

As stated, the mix is really noticeably slanted to the right...or it sounds mixed better than the left side if that can be done. Song should be cool with some vocals, and better stereo balance, though.

Music to Murder - The Presence of Loa

I like how you thickened up my voice most in this version. The original telephone style was cool, but they sound more "earthy" in this incarnation. I also like how more the spectrum is used in this version. There's more of a band feel than a mix feel to me.
