I interpreted the rules as you can do what ever you want with the tracks as long as they're the same tracks you were given in the first place, nothing new. I don't know about editing the parts to change how the song goes though...
I have the Wharfedales, and I don't have any experiance with the events. I really like the Wharfedales, they're not hyped and they translate VERY well. It's almost like you're cheating when you're mixing, it's so easy. Also they're cheaper than the events, so that's another plus. I highly...
I've got one. Although I'm not a guitarist by any stretch (bought it for the studio more than myself, although I like to putz with a guitar every once and a while) and I've got to say it's got some killer tone! You can dial in just about any sound you want. I like the vintage overdrive...
Yep, I triggered samples with drumagog. I completely replaced the toms with my own, and I mixed in a snare sample with the origional snare. I mixed it because I lost too much of the hats with it %100 replaced, also I would have missed out on the grace notes. I also suppose that there's a good...
Yeah, I have to second that as a bad idea. If a crate amp is all you've got, use headphones. Headphones suck for mixing, but will be 1000x better than a guitar amp.
Here's a clip of the noise. I just noticed that it's only coming out of the right channel. The speaker outs are right next to where the spdif comes in, so they're right by the converter too. Here's a clip of the noise www.watersignrising.com/glitch.mp3 . I wonder if something's not shielded...
Yep, I just checked all of those things, and no dice. It dosen't sound like an interference thing, it sounds like the digital converter. I can power off all my rack gear, LCD monitor, even computer and I still get the noise. I'll record a short clip of what I can hear, and maybe that will...
Yep, I used Nero until I replaced my CDR burner with a DVD/CDr drive and now it won't recognize it. Anyway, yeah there's a check box that asks if you want to finalize the disc. I've done it with and without, and it's played back no problems either way. The check box is on the screen that pops...
Hey, I just got a central station, and it rocks! I've got it runing spdif from my layla 20, and the converters blow the layla ones away. Anyway, when there's nothing playing I can hear this digital telemetry like noise. Do any of you get that? It dosen't matter if my ins are unplugged or if...
Yeah, I've had them for at least a year. They're totally solid, I guess if you abuse them and toss them around they might break, but I take care of my stuff, YMMV....
These OWN. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/443954/ I use them when I'm tracking drums. You can't beat the price either. They also sound good as well, and can get as loud as you need.
Even though they're matched, one of my NT5's puts out a little hotter than the other one. No big deal, they sound the same, and it's an easy fix to adjust the volume when mixing.
You won't regret it, I've got 4 channels, and I'm planning on adding another 4 soon. I got mine off of ebay for 800. It seems that they've bumped their prices up a bit to 850 I think. Still a steal at that price too.
I don't have any experiance with those other mics, but I have a pair of NT5's and I love them. I've used them on drum overheads and they sound great, I've used them on accoustic guitar and they also sound great on that too. I have the MC012s as well although I find I go for the NT5s over them...
Ok, my mix is done! It's up at http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/album.php?aid=1627&alid=-1 . I think I did alot better on this mix than I did on the last one. Hope you like it!
