If you have a knack for electronics you could build an active setup with a filter to boost the highs ... there are also active Tone Chips that can be set up to boost and cut certain frequencies , but without some electronics knowlege this info won"t do you any good .... Good luck

Hey Guys , I got a weird one for you .... I recorded a couple songs one day , Drums panned Center , 2 Guitars one panned left and one right and Bass panned center , I mix it down to .wav , play it back and it sounds fine on my Recording PC , Transfer to memory stick , then transfer to computer...

In my band we tune everything down 2 steps (to D) and half of our songs use Drop d tuning (which is actually down to C) , thats as comfortably low we go , any lower you just get a lot of Flappy strings and tones that are too muddy ....

Sound quality wize the 22 and 24 gauge will probably sound the same especially if they are short cable runs ..... where the 22 gauge has an advantage is they will be tougher and last longer , being short cable runs there might be more bending and strain on the cable so haveing a thicker cable...
