By reputation the Latvian ones are darker and more midrangey, but the ones made in Cali are a bit crisper. That's one of the few BLUE non-tube condensers I haven't personally owned though...

I like my Reflexion Filter. It's a bit overpriced for what it is, but IMHO/IME it's well built and effective. I think that it works best if you don't have the mic all the way back as it gets a little boxy sounding. Also I've found I get the best results when I have some sort of barrier behind...
