I picked one up about a month ago. As usual, it's complicated and frustrating. It took me a week to figure out what kind of cables to use, and I'm still not postive I have them right. The manual, or pamplet, doesn't make it any easier, for me anyway. Slowly, ever so slowly, I'm learning.

It possibly could be your recording volume on your computer isn't high enough. Double click on your speaker icon, down by the clock. The 'play control' box appears. Click 'Options'. Click 'Properties'. Set your volume. Exit and try it again. Hope it helps.
