my delta and motu 2408 used to work when i left for the summer. i took my delta home with me to england and used it there in my parents' computer. i came back and tried to reinstall it, and it will playback for about 4 seconds, and then stall the system. any ideas?

drstawl, do you use Vegas Audio 1 or 2? I know they have combined audio with video now so hey only make one multitracking program. Vegas Video 3.0 is that. I have Vegas 2.0 and im under the impression that it works at 24 bits, but i thought Audio 1.0 did not work at 24 bits.

updated the bios i updated the bios during my flurry of attempts at fixing the thing. it turned out to be the jumpers like i said. an oversight that 6 hours earlier when i was putting the thing together would have helped me and saved time. DOH!:eek:

haha, but i really didn't do anything much. If you take john's drawings and you just resize with the correct scale everything should be the same. In the "live" room i lost scale and just cut and pasted some stuff from his other floor plans. It was just an idea of how to utilise his space.

yea - Bookshelf, storage for tapes, microphones, cables, closet. Or make a diagonal door so to increase one of the 2 feet walls to about 5 or 6 feet. and make an iso room. Everything is pretty small proportions so i you might not have a space to do this. but the diganol door will take away...

you should have grabed your CDs and ran out. CD Audio? this is only 16 bits and this means you have either dithered, which you said you didn't, truncated, or the songs which were originally mixed at 16/44. All of these are BAD. A mastering house should take 24 bit files in either 44 or 48kHz...

I've never heard a nice thing about the TLII, the only thing I've noticed is that studios don't have them :) . I couldn't tell you why because i haven't used them, but i assume that means something.
