I had heard some stuff about that type of thing. Wasn't too clear on if it was real or not, so thanks for the heads up.
I got a hold of a beta version of the drivers for the aark, only a couple people said that fixed the issue with the dual core cpus, tho. PM me if you want that beta version...
I stand corrected.
It will get the job done for free, though, it seems, if you "ride the fader" as it were. (i.e. if you are only selectively fixing bad spots...)
I haven't tried it, so YMMV, but its worth a shot.
If there was a freeware pitch *Correcter* I would be interested in at least...
I found a free pitch correction tool...
Its called MadShifta, its available for VST hosts, and also a mac "Mac OSX Audio Unit Version "
http://bram.smartelectronix.com/plugins.php?id=2
If none of that makes sense to you, a quick explanation would be that the madshifta program is a "plugin"...
Hey guys, and Greetings, Ethan (Bowing respectfully)
I scored some free 703 (although it may be 705, I dont know...its rigid, its fiberglass, and it has shiny metallic-ish backing on it, that much is certain.)
The pieces are different sizes, and I was wondering if there is a minimum size...
I would add something here, as I have a little knowledge on this subject, but the above posts pretty much cover it.
The most common reason that would happen to me?
The blank CDs themselves.
Good luck!
Not exactly sure what you are asking....
Some questions...
Are you currently using anything (software) to record on your computer right now?
What do you want to use Autotune on?
Have you already bought Autotune or are you looking to buy?
Hey guys, I humbly request advice...
Long story short, I have been using Sonar XL 2.2 (plus updates) since, well, Sonar 2.2 was the latest and greatest. I have a dual Aardvark Q10 setup, Athlon 64 2800+ Machine with about a gig of RAM.
No major issues with it, but I am looking to upgrade for...
Not so easy to replace, BUT...
Hey man,
Yeah, that little nub breaks off uber easy. I found out the hard way myself that I should ALWAYS scotch tape that thing down to the big part of the connector so it wont snag on stuff, if I am gonna be pulling the cable back through anything (even if its...
You can go from CD to WAV or CD to MP3 or from WAV to MP3 with exact audio copy
http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
and you will need to download and unzip Lame enc before setting up EAC, which you can download here:

As far as not being able to quit, I can tell absolutely, that if you believe you can or can't do ANYTHING, then your belief is correct. If you want to quit, then the very first thing you should do is start telling yourself that you can with as much passion and conviction as possible. whyquit.com...
I am really surprised at the diversity of opinion on this subject, which is cool.
I have been toying with the idea of seeing about getting a forum here dedicated to Fruity Loops, or maybe "synthetic" drums in general. (Somewhere in the "equipment by brand" caterory?) The Sonic Foundry category...
Speaking of "perfect time"...
maybe off topic sort of...
I am currently in a major debate with a guitar player friend of mine who is a pretty good player, except that his timing drifts. By that I mean that he will start a song at say, 122 bpm, and by the time the song is over, he has played...
I couldn't agree more with Leeking. The absolute key when trying to see if some new PC configuration will work is to take it slow, and keep the "unknowns" to a minnimum. (i.e. stay with stable software)
That way, if something freaks out, you pretty much know it was the last thing you...
I was wondering if anyone out there knew of a way to use the plugins that come with Fruity Loops inside of Sonar.
While screwing around with the refrence sample of the guitar track (placed into FL so I could write the drum tracks), I got the exact sound I wanted for the guit. I have not been...
I am impressed that so many of us are big enough to ignore drstawls ill-informed advice and childish name calling...
(wait, I am not ignoring it, am I...?....oh well)
Unfortunately, the best thing you can do is wait for the standards war to be over as far as DVD burners go. That is the only way to be sure you don't end up with a "betamax" VCR. (I know, I am dating myself)
giganova mentions a point which has 2 camps. The , "Don't ever turn your computer off, unless you have to" camp, and the, "You need to reboot every so often/it doesn't hurt it to turn it off." camp.
I personally refuse to take sides on that one, but if you rest on the "don't turn it off"...
thedreamingfool - That was by far the best explanation of RAM and it's role in the PC I have ever read.
Dare I say, even better than my own "you have this huge pool, and 64 buckets..." analogy!
Now please excuse me while I try to put my idiot on steroids without killing him. (overclock my...

OK, it looks like on processes where you are compressing a bunch of files, Winrar does better, but you end up with only one output file that you have to decompress. For general storage of WAV files with quick acess to them, Monkeys audio absolutely ROCKS!
thanks again pglewis !
