    Bigsby?

I put a Bigsby on my Les Paul Custom. It rocks. BUT I have another Lester with a set bridge.

Not being able to argue out of my ass is a good thing. It hasn't done you any good, now has it?

SM57 + what mic? for live guitars

I usually use a Sennheiser e609S instead of a 57 - so you could use them both. The 609 is reasonably priced as well. I slapped that bad boy in front of my Musicman 2x10 HD - and holy shit - sounded great.

Hopes of Metal,Solos, and Speed coming back strong...

EVERYTHING is cyclical. Never thought I'd see it - but the 80's are back in a big way right now. I see kids dressing and with hair styles identical to me when I was 14-15 - the "banger look". Same band Tees too - Maiden, Slayer, Anthrax... The guitar wankery of the 80's will rear its ugly head...

I think Metal is becoming monotonous.

Yes their concerts are spectacular - the energy is palpable. I've seen them 9 times and they never fail to deliver. I took my wife to her first Metallica show a few years back - she was floored. Great live show.

I think Metal is becoming monotonous.

Or maybe we just really like the music. It's extremely arrogant of you to say that. Stop talking out of your ass. If you don't like Metallica - good for you. But don't tell me why I do or don't like something.

I think Metal is becoming monotonous.

What's weird is having sex with horse carcases. Sorry, I'll go back to the Cave now. To be honest I am unimpressed with 95% of the metal out there. I think most of it just sucks ass.

I think Metal is becoming monotonous.

Beating off a dead horse From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia In American English, "beating off a dead horse" is an idiom most often used when describing a sick fuck who uses his hand to jerk the meat of an already deceased horse. In Australia and Britian, the phrase is more usually rendered...

    Black Sabbath clearly Owned Metal

I respectfully disagree. Hetfield's riffs sound totally unique to me. When I hear Priest riffs I hear cheese metal. Lame lyrics, silly riffs, a ridiculous image (if that matters to you at all). Metallica always had a far more sophisticated sound than Priest. I'm not arguing about the "who...

Heavier and faster doesn't equal better. Metallica rose above those bands because their music was simply better. Slayer's and Anthrax's songwriting just doesn't measure up. Same with Megadeth.

    Who Destroyed Metal?

I don't know who killed metal, but video killed the radio star, and a tree killed Sonny Bono, that poor bark-toothed bastard.

Ya I've heard it too. It's still being massaged and arranged. I think it'll be good when the record comes out (unfortunately not until next summer/fall). Rick Rubin actually hasn't had anything to do with them yet. They are in the writing process. They haven't started recording - which is when...

I tried getting into Sabbath - but it just all sounds comical and cheezy to me. Kinda cartoonish. Metallica, on the other hand, has always sounded epic and progressive to me (especially Justice). I even enjoy the Loads - I didn't care that it wasn't really "metal", I just love the songs. St...
