Sorry to be a little off topic but that saved by technology link doesn't work for me...Is it right??? Anyways I have been interested in that Focusrite for sometime..Good to hear some good stuff aboot it..
Okay as read thru threads on here about compressors and limiters and such..I think to myself, self you don't even know what it is your listening for. What the hell do you want from it, so why would you even consider buying one till you do know. Any helpful links would be appreciated. Its time...
Thats funny I am the opposite..Every Intel based computer I have used has been garbage.
Why exactly do you need such an expensive computer when one for half the price will run music stuff fine???
Nevermind I took a half hour and read the thread...Lots of good stuff in here...
Thanks for the replys. I have another question. Can I use this effectively with a delta 44 card. I know its says I can on the m-audio site but they are trying to sell it so I wanna hear from some users.
The price range in your list there is interesting...I just bought a Delta 44 and got rid of my behringer mixer...Headphones would be the last thing I buy...And those monitors are dirty expensive..But very nice...
I just bought and AMD XP 1800+ with a motherboard and new harddrive for under...
I dunno I downloaded the drivers from the delta site and away I went...Although I haven't used my midi so I don't know if that was affected or not...Everything else works perfect...
Yup that seemed to be it...I up'ed the volume on the pre, moved the soundcard from one PCI slot to the other and cleaned my wires making sure they weren't touching yadda yadda...Its seems to work fine...Thanks alot for the ideas...
Geoff
Well my buddy has used both and really likes both...I know thats not an answer...But as far as the sound I prefer..I like the beats made on the mpc better...But he is using a rather crappy pc so that may have something to do with the beats coming of the mpc sounding alot better...Having both...
Nah see thats the thing...I started recording and then I was like maybe the mics fucking it up...So I unplugged the mic..still there...Then I unplugged everything and it was still there...I think I will just uninstall everything and try again like alonso suggested...Thanks
Geoff
Well....It just appeared from nowhere...I haven't installed anything new or changed any settings...I hadn't even turned the comp on till yesterday...It is present on everything I try to record and normalize since yesterday...
Jake dammit...lol
I have recorded with nothing plugged in at all into the back of the comp. The sound is still there...
Music still plays... this highpitched hiss is only present during recording...And I noticed it only comes out when I normalize...But I have to normalize to get the sound...
Well I came home today to discover that when I try to record all I get is a highpitched squeal after I normalize my track...I tried it in Acid and Cubase SX and got the same results for both...
Now my soundcard is an audiophile 24/96 and I unplugged everything and recorded and I still get this...
