That's a Dice-II soundcard. Don't let them try and blame it on the nforce chipset. We found no difference between the nforce 4 on our dual opteron than the TI on our p4's and quads, it sucked in every case
Ive got a win7 64 bit test rig here.
Lots of companies and plugs havent made the move yet, but for the stuff that has its been good. The reaper bitbridge is working pretty well, but some plugs dont like it
reaper saves EVERYTHING as its being recorded, just in case the computer BSODS or lighting hits it or something.
You can always clean out the stuff later, but when the worst happens, youll be glad for the mess
I dont know what that's about. Its just lately, with the chintzy, easily stripped (when threaded in the first place) type of quality from the majors lately, Im assuming they're cheaply made.

What shure's are made in the USA?
AFAIK 797 makes shures and they do a killer job on it. So good that the counterfeit 57's that keep landing people in jail, are counterfeit only by virtue of not having...
Shure, Nuemann and AKG have been partly to completely chinese for a very good long time now. AFAIK Beyer, and sennheiser are in the same boat but its 7 in the morning for a guy who usually gets up at two in the afternoon
Almost all of the more recent "european" specialty mic companies are made...
The last time I have heard of this happening I think was 2007. I asked back then if theres a way through serial number or whatever to know if you had a good one, but midiman wouldnt email me back about it.
As long as you get it from a place that has a decent return policy, itll be fine...
