Point me towards a mixing console that has polarity switches!!!

I'm looking for a console in the home studio price range (we'll say under $5000) that has polarity switches. I don't understand why these aren't implemented on all consoles??? It should be an easy thing to do right? Any guidance is appreciated!

    V67G, 603s Come Home

The SM7 is definitely a good choice! It's extremely tight and focued, but you'll need a pre with lots of gain to get it to a proper volume.

Why so many outs on a soundcard?

These outputs could be used for mixing down externally as opposed to mixing down within the computer. That way you have a more hands on approach ( which I like.) Mixing with a mouse is a bitch!

What is the best bang for the buck kick drum mic?

It sounds like it is probably your computer. Do you have plugins running in sonar and lots of tracks going on at once?

Gappin when editing...make it stop...if possible

You are talking about your computer stuttering right? Not the actual audio.

Gappin when editing...make it stop...if possible

It sounds like you need to adjust your buffer settings. I don't know how to do it in Sonar but I'm sure someone on this bbs does.
