how dense do bass traps have to be and is there such a think as too dense ? i have rung arround a few places and can get some that is 60kg/m3 and some that is 200kg/m3,is 200 too high that the sound can not penatrate it and bounces back off it or is it moore effective than say 100kg/m3...

i was not thinking of sound proofing the window more of cutting the noise of the traffic , creating a 2 to 3 inch air gap depending on the type of window frame sash ones will create a bigger air gap seal, this might help with the noise but the clingfilm wrap may just act like a drum skin ...
